Level I Reiki in the Usui Method

This is a description of the Level 1 Usui Reiki class as I teach it.  There is a need for introductory material including history, theory and basic practices associated with Reiki at the primary level.  Following that, we discuss and perform actual practice in the steps for Self-Healing and how to use Reiki in other ways.  What follows here is a general Syllabus for the class; I always strive for practical experience over lecture and discussion so will occasionally adjust to ensure there is abundant hands-on time.  All information shared is in the manual you will receive with the class.

Main Focuses of the Class include the Following:

• Usui as the Originator of Modern Reiki
• The growth of Reiki In Japan and its expansion to the U.S. with Hawayo Takata
• Discussion of Ki, what it is, what it isn't
• Discussion of Chakras and the Auric body
• Discussion of Meridians and Ki (Qi)
• Uses of Reiki at the Primary level: Self Healing, Animals, Plants, Crystals, Stones, Food, Water
• The importance of practice prior to expanding to Level 2 Reiki
• Information previously left out of Reiki trainings - Origination of Reiki, Usui's experiences, practical techniques not often taught in the past (now coming into more teaching) - hands on, focal Reiki, stroking and more
• How to talk about Reiki
• All are offered an Initiation into the Reiki Lineage (this is the Attunement)
• Self Treatment Practice
• 3 meditations - opening meditation, meditation to prepare for treatment, closing meditation

Students will leave with a deeper understanding of the energy matrix of the human body, and understand how Reiki plays a role in that process. Students will also know how to perform self treatment and how to approach Reiki for nature (plants, animals, etc.). Practice and meditation are highly encouraged prior to taking the next level class. the Attunement process take approximately 21 days to complete. This is why Reiki classes are offered no less than 3 weeks apart. This is minimum time-frame to place between classes.
