Tara is an Acupuncture Physician, Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, Introspective Coach and Teacher. She began her interest in health and wellness as early as middle school, but it was in high school that she found an interest in massage therapy. Where or how the interest arose is a mystery, but knowing that she could help people naturally peaked her curiosity.
She began her massage career in 2004, studying at Florida College of Natural Health in Altamonte Springs, FL. This experience sparked even more interest in natural healing and she has been practicing some form of energy work ever since. Following her massage training Tara sought out a Reiki instructor, and began her journey into energy work. From there she studied Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at the Florida College of Integrative Medicine in Orlando, FL.
Studying Oriental Medicine Theory and seeing how the placement of needles in the body (and nothing else) could catalyze healing and decrease pain altered her perspectives on health and healing. What had been true before was no longer truth. She saw people come in to the clinic with disorders that had not responded to other treatments only to have a complete recovery.
For many years, she has sought answers to life's big questions, "Is this all there is?" - "Can life be more fulfilling?" - "Why do I keep repeating the same experience?" Tara read books, listened to audio courses, and ultimately participated in high level courses that expanded her understanding of these questions, their answers and how to find more in life and be fulfilled! She has coached, guided and stood side by side with people as they embark on new goals and challenges in life.
Tara was diagnosed with Lymphoma in 2021. Not only was the diagnosis a shock to her and everyone in her life, but she underwent chemo with no resistance and this was additionally surprising. Given her background in natural medicine, Spiritual and energy healing, she (and many others in her life) expected her to avoid chemo. But, in time the reason it had to be cancer and chemo was revealed to her. The reasons are multi-layered and far too much to share in entirety. But what can be shared is that Tara had to learn allow others to contribute to her in a BIG way and to flow with the natural movement of life and Spirit (God, Source, The Great Central Sun).
Not having resistance to the Western treatment allowed her to view the process with clarity. Alongside chemo and still now, she receives Chinese medicine treatment (Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine) to heal the internal body terrain and to rid the body of chemo. Also, she has done extensive Spiritual healing with guidance and help from experienced teachers and guides throughout this adventure. This has led to an unveiling of knowledge and wisdom that is now guiding Tara along her path. With this new wisdom she brings forth her very best in healing and what she is here to offer the planet at this time.
If you'd like to see Tara's journey of cancer and chemo through her eyes, she has candidly shared that here: Tara's Journey - Letting in the Light.
